My original chain lasted 25.000km, replaced it with DC (?) chain which only lasted 15.000km. Now I am on my 3rd chain (DID VX2) which was already used on my dirtbike for 5.000km. Did not replace the rear sprocket yet but replaced the front sprocket already 3x (now 16 tooth).

I ride daily in wet, dry, warm and cold conditions and do not like cleaning  :001:

Ohh yes, I like oiling. Oiling is my way of cleaning, the oil will fly off taking dirt with it. I think it is more the conditions I am driving and the chain quality. On my last bike (XT660Z) the chain lasted on average 25.000km.

I am using OSCO for oiling.

    Hi Hec,
I am about to fit my tutoro, and am interested in the way you have routed the line.
Did you have to remove any of the cowls?
How far forward did you go, and did you have to secure the line where it curves back to the swing arm?

Just trying to make sure I secure it properly, and make it unobtrusive.

    any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

i did not remove anything just used a fist full of cable ties
    routing is...
up the rear foot peg hanger (2x zip ties in pic2) on inside of bike
down the frame (if you blow up pic1 you can just see  small zip tie around the frame just as it goes into shaddow) still on inside of the bike
switch to outside of the frame tube close to the swing arm pivot but now held away from upper chain run with unattractive zip tie on front foot peg hanger
rest zip tied to swing arm migrating from outside of swing arm to under and inside of swing arm...
as it is routed close to pivot point of the swing arm only needs a little bit of slack to allow for movement..

only tricky bit with oilers is the positioning of the final delivery  tube so spend some time on this... and checking it now and then esp if you adjust chain/change tyres etc. I always mess up at some point just lost the original dual feeder which got consumed at some point in the rear chain/sprocket so currently on mk1 of a new improved (if less visually attractive) industrial to hand unit (anything to hand in the shed unit).
