I had a bad neck/shoulder/arm which made driving the 1190 unreasonable so I got rid of it, it had fizz with 150 hp and a great intake howl. I figured exciting bikes were not in my future, sadly, so I bought an older Porsche Boxster S which doe have fizz.  Then I got a new med that helped my nerve pains and I thought I could ride again and started looking for a lighter but still road worthy machine . I have a KLX 351 for dirty rides and although the CBX isn't loaded with fizz I think it is excellent for me at this time. I'll add some slightly more off road tires, just added heated grips and the upper crash bars, a different exhaust might fizz it up a bit. So what bike has the most fizz? Thunderbird Sport with off road pipes was pretty good. 3 cylinder howl.

:008: The MX5 will drive circles around the MG  :008:
If you found the MX5 boring you weren't driving it properly  :153:

Mine was Super Charged a while back  :037: It was great fun

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the car alright, but I didn't mind selling it when the time came....  :034:

Mine was a Mk3 - luckily for me it was bought with a company car allowance, so it was kept fairly standard except for some shiny trim and clear indicators, and sold when I left that job!!   Of course, the Mk 1 was the car to have if you wanted to do performance mods.

In between (at only a matter of months old) I was sideswiped by a left hand drive cement truck on the motorway which stoved in the rear wing.  When a builders truck stopped as witnesses, I had to laugh when they got out of the van and shouted "f*ck me yer car's brand new!!"

These are the only photos of the MGF and MX5 (with my better half) that I have handy -

OK, car pic. Not taking the 500x out today because of heavy smoke from the Pine Gulch fire, 25 miles North.

:451:  But I have to reply to these car pics!!

Swanny, MX5 looks great, nice and low - some of the gang up here had their Mk3's lowered and it did look great, but mine being a company car meant I didn't..... at the time there was quite an active MX5 club up here doing shows and track days, although after I left the Scottish section broke away for some reason.

They decided to call themselves the Scottish Fivers, which they later found out is English slang for a 16 year old girlfriend - like a Scottish five pound note, legal but frowned upon......  oops.

You need to spray the model black!

Barko1, beautiful Boxster, what a great car.  My son in law has just bought himself a 911 Carrera S convertible (2012 model, last of the 'something or other' models....I'm not up on 911 development!!), man that thing can GO.   :007:

I did paint it black but it didn't come out very well  :008:
I had my own MX5 club called The MoonRakers, in the end it became part of the MX5 OC

So I hope you and the 500x are getting along well.  I think I might blame you for some recent urges I have been experiencing, like thinking of buying a Ducati Multistrada, to get more "fizz" out of my riding. My 500x is serving me well, running down the road at 128 kph and bouncing along dirt roads but for some reason, without any logic I have Ducati on my brain. As I said I have had way to may varied motorcycles over the past nearly 60 years but never a Duc. I even looked up what James May was saying about fizz. I don't need any Ducati, but.... and you might be responsible.  :087:
