Center stand for a 2020?
on: August 06, 2020, 12:17:51 AM
Every time I bought a new bike in the last 20 years I was forced to pay top dollar for an OEM center stand because non other were available yet. I have a feeling that may be the case with my new bike but need to find out if a previous year center stand will fit.
Takin a likkin but I'm still tickin.

Earlier centrestands definitely dont fit the 19/20 model year bike.
I asked the same question with no response so ordered an 18 my stand and its different in many ways.

Year model specific centre stands are available from reputable accessory manufacturers...eg SW Motech have one available for under $200US. Plenty of considerably cheaper options on Ebay, Amazon and AliExpress.

Chinese centre stand arrived today. Heavy enough tubing, welds are all good. But like all Chinese products it was out of alignment by just those few mms. It is my solemn belief that they do this on purpose just to bug us. putting a chamfer on the thru tube, grease, and bending things to my will finally got it in. Used a ratchet strap to get the spring on and a little more grease to get the bumper stop thru the hole. Done like Dunn.
