Is the Rally Raid engine guard strong enough for lifting the bike?

Yes, of course.

It was very much part of the design brief originally - and the flat base is the perfect platform to lift the whole bike should you need to remove the wheels/forks/swingarm etc.

If you haven't already stumbled across them, have a look at the YouTube videos made by Greg Villalobos (https://gregvillalobos.co.uk) when Rally Raid helped him convert his CB500X.

Installing the engine guard was the first step so that they could jack the bike off the ground. All explained in the engine guard specific video.

The longer video showing the complete conversion may also be of interest.
