I'm thinking of wrapping my front fairings but don't want to remove the decals. If I wrap on top of the decals will they come off when I take off the wrap in the future?

The question cannot be answered clearly, it depends on the adhesive strength of the individual films. If your newly applied film has significantly less adhesive strength than the original Honda film, then it could possibly work. But since you have to heat the film when you peel it off, you may also peel off the lower film.
You will also be able to see the edges and contours of the original film through the top film. Doesn't look so good
I would advise against it. I removed all "annoying" foils from my X.

@adman

Are the outer 'add on' 'silver' pieces removable from inside?

Did you find it OK to wrap around the front piece where it goes in/out/in/out if you know what I mean.

As per red line around the tricky edges and corners.   :002: Just wanted to see if this part is easily removed and wrapped?

You just want to wrap the narrow front of the silver side panel in color?
No problem, it takes 5 minutes and all you need is a sharp knife and a hair dryer.
After removing the side panel, this part can be unscrewed from the inside and "clicked". see my photo.

I've been watching a few videos about wrapping
Looks like that cutting tape is a good way to cut it. Have you tried it?

I wonder how much the decals on the front fairing are. Can't find them on a Honda parts list  :187:

Gives me a couple of ideas, adding the camo and even the good old 'X' from the CB500X's a few years back:

Also, that original X is one of the things I was glad to see replaced as the bike graphics were updated.... of course, maybe it's just me.....  :034:
