I put on a Givi touring screen on my 2018. Lower spacer about 1 1/4 inches, top spacer about 3/4 inch. So the tilt is sharper than stock and the screen is moved forward a bit. I'm 5' 11 and have much quieter and smoother air, same slight cross-breeze but much better. No buffeting.

I've been through this and by and away the best solution for me was to cut down the original screen. Tried the Givi touring screen and it was just as bad but different if you see what I mean.
With a cut down screen the airflow is smooth and quiet...happy days.
I'm 6 foot tall in case that has any relevance.
Adjustable mount is this

It's a 2019 model, the screen is now 13 inches from the centre of the top edge to the tip on the bottom of the screen. I took several bites at it with a Dremel cutter designed for plastics, tried it out with each cut then when happy with it sanded with a block using decreasing grades of paper starting with 800 grit to get rid of the cutting marks then finishing with 3000 grade to polish the edge.
I now have mint condition Givi touring screen to sell that didn't work for me

I think the 2013-2015 shield is about 13" tall so you ended up the same just alot cheaper

I actually tried to fit a screen from the older bike. It fits in an approximate fashion and could be used, however, I noticed that that the fixing seats weren't flat against the mounting surface on the bike and I was concerned that the screen might crack so I never pursued it and returned it. But yes, it's a better height.

I replaced the stock screen on my 2017 model, for a Puig 8901W Windscreen. Works great, for me @ 5ft 7". If I lift myself up a couple of inches I can feel the turbulence starting again. But in normal operation I can have the helmet visor up without issue up to about 70mph.

It's not so much about a person's overall height, its the height from your arse on the seat to the top of the head...
Just the same with seat heights...its ones inseam that matters.
My pal is the same height as me yet his bloody legs are three inches longer ,the sod ! 🥴

I further developed the proper adjustment of the windscreen. I didn’t have enough to move up and down. I sawed it so it could be adjusted in any direction. No turbulence, height 1.86m.
