Hagon shock
on: October 27, 2020, 05:31:33 PM
I was advised to start a new topic rather than tack it onto another thread about the RR level 1 suspension.

My new to me bike (2014 yr) has already had Hagon progressive front springs fitted but the standard rear shock. Has anyone on this forum got any experience with the Hagon rear shock? Itís a good bit cheaper than the Tractiv level1 shock by Rally Raid. Iíll be doing 90% road miles so no requirement for the level 3 package. Just want to improve the suspension at the rear from the bouncy oem.

Not on the 500x but I ran a Hagon shock on my cbr600f and my cbr1000f

Both times I was very happy with the shock for road use.

Spent $30 on a GSX-R 750 used shock . A little fiddly but a direct fit so long as you donít have ABS. I have ridden them all.... nothing that seems more then 10% better if that than the used cheap shock, but a 100% better than the stock. Save your money. Do a search on here for install and clearance.

No other country outside of tha US of A has got NON-ABS 500x bikes, so unfortunately your advise is irrelevant for the OP.
Otherwise that shock is a great one, worth a lot more than one can buy them.

Well we all have a different experience and opinions, I have changed the shocks and springs on my Kawasaki W650 to Hagons and it has transformed the ride, similarly I have a hagon Rear shock on the CB500X and I find it a much improved ride over the standard shock.
So clearly one size doesn't fit all. :028:
