PUIG Touring Windscreen
on: November 01, 2020, 08:57:10 AM
Hello. Just mounted a PUIG Touring Windscreen to a CB500X 2019 model. Here is the install and result, owner quite happy so far:

4 wheels moves the body, 2 wheels moves the soul.

You've deserted us as well  :033:

What made you go for the T7? More power?

I do a lot gravel roads/light offroad and then its often needed to stand on the pegs. The T7 ergonomics is better while ride standing. That helps a lot for my back and knees. I did not have a need for more power but it is a plus. I also like that the bike has more ground clearance and suspension travel. I didn't plan to switch bike, but suddenly the Rally Edition showed up at a local dealer and I fall in love  :087:

Luckily my brother bought my CB500X, I will see it a lot..that awesome beauty  :152:

Yes must agree, if you wanted a bike with more off road capabilities the T7 is a dam good choice.

After watching the video and how it mounts I can say the Chinese one I tried must be a Puig copy (same stand off mount)--still didn't work any better than stock

I upgraded my screen and it wasn't fantastically better, put screen riser on and it's perfect now

So did you do a test ride yet?

I'm pretty much at the edge of ordering a CB500X myself but the Windscreen issue is one of my main sticking points at the moment. I hate how you need to replace parts on a brand new bike to fix a problem which should never have existed.

Have you had a test ride? A lot of us have no problem with the standard screen!!

Regardless, it's hard to find a single youtuber which isn't using a screen extender or complaining about where the wind hits.

Never owned a bike that didn't need something changed or added right from new-on the 2019 up I can tell the Puig is about 10% better no more(for me) and I didn't care for the way it's mounted makes no sense -sent it back and bought cheap Chinese adjusters again about 10% better from low setting stock-but good enought
