Australian Pommie
on: November 15, 2020, 04:31:15 PM

G'day from Oz. Originaly born Hackney, London and spent time in Swindon, Wiltshire. A New rider at 55 I got my provisional licence three months ago. So this CB500x is my first motorbike. I've done almost 8000km on it already. Lucky here in Queensland, Australia with Covid..I'm out almost every weekend.

I use to photograph the World Superbike Championships here in Oz where I first met Mick Doohan before he went to Grand Prix. With mates and family on bikes and my son keen to get one I finally got off my arse and got one. As a photographer and a newbie this was the best bike for me to get off road a bit to get my shots... absolutely loving it.

Welcome AussiePom, I am a CB500X from Swindon so I wonder if our paths ever crossed? Lived in and around the town for 53 years so it is possible.  Big fan of WSK and visited Australia many times over the years. I fact we should be in WA right now.... Oh well perhaps next year.

So many miles and so many bikes and now my first Honda. At 78 I find the CB500X 2020 ideal for so many reasons and loving it. My Heart will always be for Norton's but I am happy just riding motorbikes.
