Another option for foot pegs

Just to add a little something, you can buy copy cb500x footpegs off ebay for around £20 a pair when I had my bump they popped up in my search.

Hi all well the new pegs arrived yesterday and i wasted no time in putting them on , they fitted perfectly with no troubles at all , i chose black to keep in color with the bike .At frst when i sat on the bike i thought i may have to adjust the gear lever but after riding it no problems at all .

Well that was easy -- no really it seems like every thing you do the the bike turns into a real job almost like the bike is telling you --DON'T TOUCH ME--now if the bike will let you finish off the pegs with the rear brake lever cover that matches the peg covers -- I have the whole set up works and looks nice

Gday motorboy unfortunately this is the sort of thing that occures when you do your own maintenance and upgrades after someone who knows nothing tinkers with the bike before you get it . Havent seen a brake lever cover then i havent really looked so that might be the next thing ,i am getting a box full of spare bits and peices here hahaha .

Well i had a look on flee bay for that brake thingy you wrote about but could only find ones for the 2019 and 2020 models ,upon looking at them all they are is a piece of aluminium checker plate so being the tight arse i am i have some of that in the shed 5mm thick to be exact .

So being as i have some free time i decided to make one with bits and pieces from my boating days stainless bolts and nyloc nuts a bit of cutting on the band saw and sanding on the combi sander and whalla ,i know its isnt as pretty as the chinese ones but it didnt cost me 20 dollars either and i had the pleasure of making it .

Looks nice but if you ever want to use a Chinese one all years 500X use the same rear brake lever

Hi all well after using this wider brake pedal i have to say it is a good idea ,seems to have more purchase on the rear brake now glad i did it .

I found much the same when I fitted a the enlarger plate..it raised the pedal up a bit so not as much ankle bend to operate.
