OEM Heated grips not working

Goodmorning lovely people!

So about four days ago I bought my CB500X and it was already fitted witch OEM heated grips.
But the only problem is, they are not working.
When pressing the button it only starts flashing red and doesn't heat up.
During the whole ride they were flashing, the seller thought it had something to do with the fuses. Checked them all but they all seem to be doing fine.
Searched the whole internet but never found anything or anyone with the same problem. So I have no idea where to start.

Is there someone who has experienced the same with their heated grips, or has any clue as where to start/how to fix it?

It seems like some protection logic or so.
I'd check the connection to the throttle side first.

Thanks! I also found the installation manual, but it indeed doesn't seem to have very extensive troubleshooting.

Connections all seem to be good. No breaks or anything.

Have you checked the resistance of the heating pads? Also have you measured battery voltage?
How did you confirm that connections are good?

Thinking only:
Two of three leads on left grip should be pos and neg for the heating element. Measure resistance between those two and from each to the bar clamp. Should be 24 ohms, open, open respectively. The right grip has just the two leads and should have same values. The control module might detect a short to the frame, meaning low resistance on the lead to frame measurement.
