Middleweight Adventure Bikes

This list of middleweight adventure bikes might tempt those that want a bit more power than the 500X offers...... not so sure about the off-road abilities of these larger bikes though.....  :084:

It's curious that 900cc and near 100hp bikes are considered "middlweight" :008: .  And Ducati is considered "adventure"  :087:

Here is an article suggesting that Honda could be planning on bringing back the Transalp name on a new mid-size bike, as "a much more capable off-road offering, more akin to a mini Africa Twin than any of Honda’s own offerings" such as the 500X or NC750X.....

Just read the review on the latest from harley davidson pan america  a cool 32,000 au  and more for laced wheels ,admitedly the africa twin dct is nudging around the mark but for an untested model you would want to be either doing a lot of off road touring or have a big wallet ,nice promo video but honda has a reputation for the africa twin. Time will tell if it is a winner or not .

Just read it too and my first thought was "I've seen something similar before":
