Greetings from Oswestry
on: August 07, 2013, 05:15:19 PM
Hello everyone!
Just returned to biking after a break of over 30 years. I bought my CB500X (red) two weeks ago and love it apart from frightening myself more than once!  :005: I need to get a bit of retraining done asap.

Should I be worried about the 500 mile service cost?
Anyone had any panniers fitted? Costs?
Thanks and best wishes to all.
Gary  :002:

Welcome to the forum mate.

I have had mine for about 5 weeks now. I went for a whites one.

I have soft Oxford panniers installed but I don't like them so I have just ordered a GIVI rack and top box from Italy after reading a post on here yesterday.

They are much cheaper than buying them here in the UK.

As far as the 600 mile service goes I have heard all sorts of prices up to 350 but the dealer I use Sutton Motorcycles in Tamworth Staffordshire will do the first service on any CB for 175 which is great value and not too far for you.

I will try and get some pics,

I took off the grab rails. Put the middle strap through the hole left by the grab rails so it went under the seat. Fitted the other two straps over the seat and then strapped the bottom of the bags to the pillion pegs.
