2017 Colours
on: January 03, 2017, 04:23:19 PM
I have just seen an email from Honda UK which I'm not not allowed to post which shows the 2017 colours for the UK.
My choices in reverse order are
metallic silver which actually appears to me to be more of a dark grey
Red but a completely different shade to previously
Orange which despite my usual aversion to orange (I had my orange BMW R90/S resprayed green) I actually like the look of
Audere est Facere

I'm sorry to see they are going back to what looks like a dull metalic red, rather like the pre 2016 models. I love my 2016  with its "proper" bright red which maybe in years to come will be seen as the most desireable red :001:
Then again, maybe Honda is right and everybody really likes naff metalic red :012:

I love the orange, but the graphics are just too confused...a simpler styiling would make the bike look better. And a tricolour version on the basis of the Africa Twin's one would be great.

Personally I think the graphics set the orange off nicely. All a matter of personal taste

Oh yes.

But just pulled some AT pictures up and the X is a bit lacking in bodywork to reproduce the style.

I like the look without the "belly pan" might take mine off and see what it looks like.

Also, nice of Honda to copy my "design" with the black one haha! looks like I was a trendsetter without even realising it!

to be honest out of all the 'year' models the only colour I'm not keen on is the '13 white colour. I like all other colours. If I was buying a new one it would have to be orange, That I really like. :001:

Actually, the Rally Raid stickers setup (white basis with red and blue) is very close to what I meant...I like it.
