I needed to replace the rear brake pads on my CRF230L at 8800 miles as well as the drive sprocket.  The rear brake on a dirt bike gets pretty hard use (unlike a street bike), but now at 13,500 miles it still has no problem.  I'm wondering if it might be Japanese versus Thai steel in the rotor?  My CRF was manufactured in Japan.

The quality of parts nowadays is just sh#t, I've stopped wondering why parts wear so quickly and just move on. I'm surprised the bike has lasted 36,000 miles.

Honda has always been bulletproof, whether new street bikes or old dirt bikes, I have never had many issues with them. Except that damn carb on the CRF 125R 2 stroke. Man I hate that bike
I don't actually own a vehicle with more than 2 wheels...
