this arrived an hour before work so I quickly fitted it, the adaptor plate and fitting kit wont be staying time a little more diy

A4 size instructions

adaptor plate none of the holes line up with any of the predrilled holes in the Thailand plate not a big problem.

very long shiny bolts and clamps, I could just use some flat bar and shorter bolts for now so it doesn't look as bad

this is a 32ltr top box it takes a shox axxis full face helmet with camera attached, it also has rubber seal going all the way around it so the lid doesn't rattle like my sons givi e300n2, it made a big difference not having my backpack on with 1.5 mtr chain and padlock plus waterproofs and work stuff in, commuting is nice now. and £31.99 cant go wrong

new top box holds a 30 pack of cola and chain no problem.

also had a go at doing away with the top box adaptor plate here's the front bracket all fitted.

and one from the front.

doesn't look bad.

the start of the rear hook for the top box to lock onto.

still doesn't look much right now.

last picture of the hook, as once I got to this stage I could see I would have to move the box backwards by at least an inch, so the hook and retaining bolts wouldn't be in each others way I didnt like the box being further back so its on hold for now until I can figure out a way to make it work.

but I did get a present off my youngest son.

horn fitted on new bracket its a little lower than original to clear the exhaust.

There’s a better place for the horn and the compressor. More protected. Relay under the seat with the rest of the electrics, left side top fairing for the horn and the frame for the compressor. Had mine there for a few years now.No issues.
BTW had to have the top plate of the rack re-powder coated because it started to flake off by just a soft bag on it.

Since then I also have powder coated the silver stuff on the bike. Looks so much better now.

thank you CB-500-X the pump and relay are going in the same place as yours, im keeping the space behind the panels empty for now as I have a idea for them which I will try later on when I get the parts, my rack was the same very poor coating along the edges its as if it wasn't cleaned properly before being powder coated it felt slippery on the exposed metal, black does look better.

made a small bracket for the pump to attach to the charcoal canister bracket on left side of frame, which I don't think CB-500-X has fitted to his bike

cut the bracket a little short but it wont hurt

one of it painted with the captive nut plate attached (its upside down)

I did try to fit it with out removing the front side panel but couldn't hold the nut plate and pump in place while trying to get the bolts in, I got close to starting the bolts one or twice but no joy I have to take the panel off so will do that today.
