I spoke to the chap today. He said they only make a 170/60 17 in the Trekrider. They do a 160/60 in the Trailrider
I'm not sure if that will fit

Agree, when I changed the stock tires for Pilots it made a huge difference. Had a lot of microslides with the stock tires but since I put on the Pilots I haven't had any, even in the wet.

I intend to replace my OE fitment Dunlops with Avon Trailriders. I've them them fitted on two previous bikes, a BMW R100GS and a Yamaha XTZ1200 Super tenere. These tyres are excellent IMHO, they grip well on tarmac wet or dry, and they were fine for easy off road stuff like hard packed dirt, loose gravel, just not thick mud. The wear on them is reasonable too.
