I picked up a 2013 X. Came with a tall wind shield. Don't know the brand. Want to try a stock one.
Does anyone have one laying around that was replaced by an aftermarket one?
Thanks

I have one. It's in pretty good shape, a few light scratches from the previous owner's cleaning method. I am close enough, you can ride or drive over and have a look. I PMed you my cell number.

Has anyone with a 2017/2018 replaced stock screen with a Madstad bracket and screen.
The new screen looks good ( have not got the bike yet ) and apparently is adjustable but the Madstad is simply a wonderful bit of engineering.

The windscreen part number for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 are the same. I have a 2016 and the Madstad and brackets work fantastic for me.

thanks much ...might just order it and be done with it. What is your height and which screen did you buy.
Can you use the stock screen on the Madstad brackets?

Anyone familiar with this product:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CB500X-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-Adjust-Windshield-Adapter-Kit/173497881229
?
Looks like a knockoff of the Palmer or Madstad bracket device but I am new to this and not entirely sure.
Been fiddling with hardware store kludges and found that angling the stock shield and pushing the bottom out works pretty well to solve bad buffeting on my 2018 500X. So thinking about a more permanent (and better looking) solution.

It looks a lot like the Palmer Products design - but at that price I would compare costs with the 'official' Palmer version and really consider going with a relacement screen and Madstad brackets - that combination has had very positive reviews on here.

I do think this thread needs to be closed, no one in their right mind is going to trawl through 90 pages
These long threads are just crazy, no one can find the info they are looking for. It's just a monster that needs to be killed off. Threads on screens need to be
model specific
to gain any insight into the pros and cons.
