Representatives of the Imperial War Museum used to visit him with photos and interview him and record the interview.
The purpose being to establish where photos were taken
The interviews in his latter years were comical as his mind was going..they stopped visiting after that.
He had a gurkha sleep outside wherever he slept, in a tent or a vehicle, that was his bodyguard and where he git his liking for curries.
Until into his seventies he made a minced meat curry every Saturday night and had the leftover portion on Sunday, even ate it from his enamel army plate.
I cant count the arguments over that plate that he and our Mom had over that plate.
Nor could I count the times the amount of times she put it in the bin !
Whilst he was eating the curry in the lounge, on his knee with the fork scraping the plate....that was my cue to go and get a few spoonfuls from the pan as we were not allowed any ourselves.
If I heard that scraping stop fir more than seconds...I was equal to Linfird Christie in speed getting out of that kitchen 🤣🤣🤣

Unfortunately those big CB's never came over to this side of the pond. They're a cool bike though.

Made a test wind blocker thing

How did you get on with the wind blocker? I had one on a Africa Twin ~ it was unrideable for me without it!

Put rim tape on

And fitted Scottoiler
