*** Weathers Kinda Nice - Time to Ride ***
on: March 01, 2020, 02:50:27 PM
Up here on the Moray coast in the north-east of Scotland, the sun was out this afternoon, so on with the gear and out with the bike   :001:
1st stop for a photie was this place . . .

. . . in the snow ferfecks sake  :005:. Still kinda nice to out on two wheels though  :152:

Next was the Pack Horse bridge at Glenlivet.

And finally, just to prove that the sun was out, a small trail leading away from The Macallan distillery

Only did a little over 60 miles, but with the heated inner gloves on & plugged in, all was white with the world  :164:  :001:

We are looking at temps in the low to mid 50s for the next few days.  If I can manage it, I'm going for some rides in the late afternoon.  The best part of winter is spring!

Are you using the SW Motech ring mount? I have two of their bags and neither one of them fit directly on top of the gas cap. I guess I need to spend the money and buy the one that mounts it more down the tank like yours appears to be.

Ready, Steady, Go!

Spent the afternoon cleaning and lubing (although I now see from this photo that I missed the front of the engine!!) - just need some better weather, it's still pretty miserable here, and I'm a fair weather biker.  :034:

Yes, for the latest version of the CB5X. Thought it was a daft idea when I first saw it on their website but I can see the reasoning for dropping the bag down the rear of the tank - on top of the tank the bars would come into contact with any bag when nearing full lock. When standing on the pegs I didn't notice the bags presence, which is a good thing.

Quite a common theme up here, surrounded as we are with distilleries  :015:

I ride all year round, not waiting for "ideal" riding conditions. We live in a country that has, too be honest, a weather history that many have written books about, such is its complexity. So waiting till the weather is "right" or for the riding "season" to start would waste an aweful lot of riding opportunities, to my mind  :080:

Nice  :152:
What was it like on that track? Did you have to drop your forks out to fit those gators?  :067:
