Why would they use 120/90-17?  I believe Shinko 705 is made in the stock 120/70-17 size...

To get somewhere near a 19" rolling diameter without going to a 19" wheel setup.

Got it - makes sense.  What are they using in the rear?  Stock size 160/60-17.

Great post!  Just looking for a reasonable back tire to go with stock size with a Shinko 705 in front.  What about over or undersizing a Shinko in the rear?  Stock rear size is 160/60-17

The Shinko 705 front and rear is a very popular choice for the CB500X (at least here in Australia). The 150/70 17 rear is the "correct" size, being within recommended tyre/rim sizes.

Thank you!  I checked the specs and I think that answers my questions, much appreciated.
