Riding is way more work than I think a nonrider would ever suspect.  I will not deny you your many flights, even if they are flights of fantasy.

I'm fine with flights if fantasy just not flights in a 737Max, now those would be just a fantasy too far

Talking about flights, check out this blog.  He teaches in the States, but he is from Australia (which you can tell by the wonderful understated tongue-in-cheek sense of humor).  His blogs are informative:

It's great to see bikers getting out down south.... but being in such large numbers and ignoring social distancing won't do anyone any favours, and could just lead to lockdown returning!!   :034:

No good news for Scotland yet - Nicola has promised further announcements on Thursday, but any reduction in lockdown is not to be expected until at least 28th May, and will depend on infections and deaths reducing...  I guess we'll look forward to riding in June!!

If we are lucky.   :151:

Don't forget these are just rules and guidelines, they are not laws and never have been. We've been free to do as we please the whole time.

Been out for a wonderful ride through to Aberdeen and back (obviously  :164:) on the old Alp  :152:.

Bestest scenic routes choosen. Saw one bike in the city and a scooter as I was leaving . . . and that was it for powered 2 wheelers. Sycolists everywhere, even in the middle of fecking nowhere close to the Lecht ski centre  :005:.

As Swanny said, these are just rules and guidelines, not law. Been out for quite a few rides, so long as you are riding solo and following the guidelines, I don't see a problem. Passed many Police cars and they didn't bat an eyelid. At the start of lockdown they moved on a group of mountain bikers at Carron valley. Passed about 6 bikes out today, 3 were riding together.

I went out for a ride today. It was therapeutic! I was worried about having an accident and stressing the health-care system here when it was coping with a surge of cases. Things are quieter, but I'm still planning on being careful :).
