Palmer products windshield adaptor kit
on: May 31, 2020, 10:09:59 AM
Hi Folks - apologies if this has already been discussed in a previous thread (I can't find one though).  Has anyone got any experience of fitting and using this adaptation on their bike?  I currently run a dark Powerbronze short screen, but would like to try either of my others (Honda/Givi) to see if they work but without the buffeting.  Be nice to see if this mod would make a difference.

you need to select the bike once you open the page.

thanks

Yes got one here, love it! Have a look in gallery and you'll see how it sits on bike..

I don't have it on its highest, I think its bout half way and same with tilt! I have the larger slipscreens tinted screen and this combination seems to work for me, very minimal buffeting/wind turbelance! I would advise to go for gps bar to give more rigidity for blustery those blustery days.

Gives an idea of how it repositions the screen:

Can see it in the back of this photo:

Do you get buffering with the shorty?
I went to the New Forest yesterday and came home really pissed off with the wind noise from my screen  :151:

I don't get buffeting with the short screen - I take the wind on my chest - it's not too bad - and my helmet stays nice and steady (f'nar, f'nar).

Why change then?  :187:

Will your 2nd hand going for a very good price screen fit my bike?

Why change?  Because I have 3 screens but only use the short one due to the helmet buffeting that I get from the other 2 (standard Honda and a Givi touring screen).  It would be nice to have the option of a taller screen if I decide to do longer journeys.  The short screen is fine at normal speeds but you wouldn't want to go that far on a motorway or duel carriageway with it - you'd have some great neck muscles if you did  :001:

I'm going to have to get the shorter one
I really don't like the standard one, even with my little add on thing  :151:
