New bike purchase
on: June 28, 2020, 10:12:22 AM
Hi there, just in the beginnings of purchasing a 2019 cb500x, :046: had one last year and sold it (should have kept it  :138:) but anyway about to buy another, so question is, rear paddock stand and which one to use, as I remember before, if you donít have the right one, the UK number plate gets in the way as itís so massive! Which paddock stand does anyone recommend that fits ok. Iíll probably get a main stand after first service?

Hi - I use a generic paddock stand (bought from Amazon) - I have no problem with it, as long as I keep the rests as close to the rear wheel/chain adjuster plates as possible - this is to keep it clear of the exhaust rather than the number plate.

Admittedly, this is for a 2017, 2019 exhaust may be a bit different.

:401: back, I used a paddock stand like AJC before getting a centre stand. Only downside is it kinda took 2 people to get it on to the paddock stand.

Get some pictures up when you get your new bike  :028:

The centre stand is a lot simpler to use I have a paddock stand not been used for years as it always felt like one wrong move and the bikes over, as said itís really a 2 man job to be honest.
