Thought about the Z900RS? Especially if you're of an age to remember it's grandparent?

How often does he criticise any bike?

What is the wheel travel for the CB500X?

140mm front and 120mm rear I think.

I rode quite a few unpaved roads in New Zealand on a 216kg Kawasaki Versys 650, and it was no problem, but these were graded gravel roads, and maybe not what you would term off-road..... NC750X DCT is listed as 224kg, X-Adv Crossover Scooter is 236kg..... I would think that's quite heavy for riding much more than a farm track......  trouble is DCT adds weight.  :084:

And the latest NC750X which looks much more like the rest of the "Adventure" range now only has 120mm wheel travel at both ends. So looks more like an Adventure bike, but less able, though the non DCT version is 10kg lighter at 214kg.

Maybe the dash is used on another bike which does have a switch / something there?

Ok till you put it onto some dog / cat poo and then it goes into your pocket   :003:

Googling found these installation instructions, and there's a trouble shooting bit at the end. Though it's not very comprehensive  :003:

If you can, I'd try riding another bike to see if it's the same, or, get someone else to ride your bike. I was convinced my bike wasn't perfect, till I rode a brand new bike, and it was the same  :001:
