There's loads of topbox threads on the site but here's one I posted when I first fitted my box, HTH

CB500X - General Chat / Re: CB500X with DCT, why not?

This DCT debate will soon become academic, surely...with the coming of electric bikes ( and they are coming like it or not!) as far as I know most of them are single speed with no gearbox!  :006:

PS I'm not in favour of electric bikes but them seem inevitable to me!

You could try contacting Honda UK customer services and see if they can track the order or offer advice...the down side of that is your local dealer will probably get to hear about it and might get the 'ump because you've tried to go around them!

They've tried that before, back in the '70's, and without much success!  :006:

Yes itís the powerbronze one. I think for protection itís the best one out there, the fittings are very good much better than pyramid one and itís easy to fit. I posted a couple of pictures of it on here last week should be easy to find, I believe if you purchase it off the forum you get a discount.  :028:

Thanks, STOKIE, I think I feel a Christmas present to myself coming on! I've just realised you've got the later 500X, but I guess the fitting for an 18MY X is much the same!  :002:

Hey STOKIE, I like the look of your hugger, is that the Poerbronze one? Was it easy to fit and is it effective at keeping the crap off the backend of the bike?

Well, if you're looking for cheap and cheerful this is the sort of thing I use...

...it doesn't get in the way of either stand and works for me...I've got several and I don't remember paying for any of them, I've just acquired them at bike events of the years! (Brands Hatch race circuit gives away good ones on British Superbike race weekends as you enter the parking area!  :152:)
