hi all.
do you have the same problem as me in not having good markers on each side of the
swinging arm while trying to ajust the chain.
I can not tell weather the chain is near its last adjustment or not.
is there any other way of telling when your chain is on its last adjustment?
I would be greatfull for any advice.

hi fudge.
great choice of bike the X. I also live in north wales probably the best roads in Britain .
I have had a hugger and a centre stand fitted the hugger is good to keep the spray down
in the wet and the stand is good for chain tensioning .
the X is a brill all round bike for short or long rides.
good luck with the test.
Bones.... p.s stand fitted approx. 140.00

hi applecorp.
just to say I think most of us bikers have dropped are bikes at some point  but don't
admit it.
I dropped my X last year trying to turn right out of a layby that I did not know
the right side foot was way off the ground because the layby fell away on the
right and my foot could not reach the ground bike stalled and I FELL OFF I put
a scratch on the e-pipe but also split the front brake fluid tank and it was six weeks
before the X was back on the two painfull knees.

thank you all for your help.
I have tryed to adjust the chain by making sure that I adjusted both tension nuts the same amount
of turns and then feel the tension of the chain by hand to make sure its about 30 mm or so in tension.
but I cant see my chain adjusters as there so faint.
my bike has only done 6000 miles but I am not sure how many miles the chain is OK for
 before renewing?

thanks BONES..... :002:
