I mistakenly ordered two of these from overseas.

Iím curious what you meant by this. Iím in the same boat. I just installed some auxiliary LED lights on my bike. They donít have a high/low pattern, but I run them at 10% or 20% on low beam and full power with the brights.

To me, just standing out in front of the bike with the low beams on, my auxiliary lights seem a bit too bright for oncoming traffic, but nobody yet has flashed me.

So... when you talk about cagers ďcomplaining,Ē do you mean flashing their brights at you?

My measurements, center-to-center:

A: 7 7/8"
B: 3 3/8"
C: 6 1/2"

I measured with the screen on the bike, so I had to eyeball the bolts since the screen is curved and in the way of a straight-edge.

You mean with the forks? If that's what you're asking about, no, no problems. I got the light mount designed for the 2019/2020 bike.

I brought my bike over to a friend's house who has some decent tools and we took a grinder to the pegs to make them fit. It doesn't take much; just shaved off a couple of mm on each side.

I should add that once we had the pegs shaved down so that they fit properly, I was able to install them without all the drama from last time.

They're good pegs. If you have access to some tools you can adjust them to fit the bike properly without much work, but it's perplexing that PivotPegz are still sending out pegs which don't fit, though as Falang pointed out, the tolerances on the Honda cast aluminum peg mounts isn't great. Should we blame Honda that the aftermarket parts don't fit right?

I also ordered what PivotPegz calls the Topper Kit; I call them street covers. The PivotPegz have really aggressive tread on them which would tear up the bottom of my boots, the covers protect the bottom of my boots.


The SW Motech light bar showed up a few days ago and I finally got to mount my lights.

I took the bike out for a nighttime ride a couple of days ago, and I like the lights. Gotta tweak the aim a little bit. I should be able to get out tonight and try them again.

Thanks for pointing that out, Steve. I'm a little surprised I didn't mention that in my post.

Fork leaks don't tend to lose much fork oil at all, as you noted, "a teaspoon of oil."

Most likely you didn't lose enough fork oil to affect anything. Watch for future leaks.

It's not terribly difficult to check the fork oil; you can even do it on the bike. Loosen the fork pinch bolt at the top, on my 2019 it's a 10mm. Then you can remove the fork cap which is a 24mm on my bike. Unfortunately, with the fork on the bike, it's difficult to check to see if you're low on fork oil, as the fork will be at an angle. I don't have the spec in front of me, but generally the fork oil is supposed to be filled to some level below the top of the fork, usually a couple/few inches.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it unless you continue to see leakage. Then it would be a good idea to change the fork seal. CAD$380 is way too much. You can likely find a local chap to help you out if you've never done it before. It's not a difficult job. Parts are cheap.

Maybe it has something to do with your username.
