If you go aftermarket, and don't go for best performance, I'd go for a Sprint dry synthetic filter equel filtering efficiency to oem, but reusable and flows better.

I love some extra ponies. Is it necessary/adviced to tune the ECU with the MWR filter?

I am thinking the same thing with a MWR filter.  The cb500x 2020 is not advertised (yet).  :187:

Its that the pedal goes down with no pressure if left after bleeding, well I think I have done it connected a pipe to the bleed nipple and placed it in a jar of brake fluid , left the lid of the reservoir cracked the bleed nipple and pumped and then just kept refilling the reservoir that wat fluid was forced through the system, I then cracked the pipes on the abs module while holding down the pedal until fluid could be seen then bled as normal..

cb500x 2019/2020 workshop manual page 18-2 quote;

. The RA/FA/XA models are equipped with the ABS, however, the brake fluid replacement procedure is performed in the same manner as in the ordinary air bleeding procedure. Note that fluid replacement and bleeding air from the brake fluid in the ABS modulator is not necesarry, as it is a sealed unit.

Perhaps two possible/different issues for the solution search..

The 1990 nx650 did have need of refreshing the front and rear brakes. Lots of gummy brake fluid...

Removed the bleeder bolt and drained the oil, to get all crap out of the system given it a blow with compressed air.

Asked for some help to gently fill the reservoir, when I ask for it.. Some plastic gloves and finger on the exit without the bleeder bolt. Wait for a steady stream of oil and let the finger work like the bleeder bolt.

Steady oil stream without air bubbles and replace during the stream the bleeder bolt.

Slowly a couple of times on the brake lever, let it stand over one night and check if the bubbles in the reservoir are gone.

Give it a few bleeder action if wanted. After a first run check and give a final bleeder action just to remove the last bubbles in the reservoir.

Cost will be a extra 100cc fluid, plastic gloves and a lot of towels;)

The old workshop manual way still works fine..
