I'm loving mine. I went on a family vacation and had to store it away in a garage for three weeks....the moment I got back iI went for a ride.

Honda has gotten back to what a motorcycle should be. basic reliable fun transportation without any of the BS.

Stopped in with my family at Two Scoop Steve's in Yahk on our vacation and a cb500x went scooting by on highway 3 heading towards Creston.

saw several more 500X's on my travels across the prairies to the Okanagan Valley. Hope you all had fun.

It looks pretty solid and also has a puck slider incorporated.  I asked them if I could get one unfinished in bare steel, you know so I can add some personalized fabrication and whatnot (highway pegs, auxiliary light mounting tabs, fastening points for storage), and that would be an upcharge of $100.  How can it be more expensive for less work and materials?

Be wary about the fit.
I asked them about it on a youtube thread and they replied yes without hesitation. That was months before anyone in North America had seen a 2019 in the flesh. They were willing to promise fitment on a bike they had never even seen in the flesh.

I quite like the exhaust note of my 19.

I've even had other riders tell me it "sounds pretty good"

not sure but someone on another forum said they were not.

Modifications, Accessories, and Appearance / 2019 OEM Light Bar

Just added the 2019 OEM Honda light bar.

it appears to be redesigned for 2019 (based on the older installation instructions I found). It is now a single piece bar warpping around the motorcycle and attached to the front of the frame via a heavy new mounting bracket that attaches behind the headlight housing.

It is a very heavy unit with quality metals, excellent welds and a well done paint job. and it fit right out of the box with a minimum of fuss and not a single need for bending or hammering.

I have heard people disparage the older unit as "cheap" or "frail"..... I have nothing to compare it to but I believe that this new "Light Bar" is a durable and resilient accessory that  would protect the plastics in anything but a serious crash.

I also think it looks cool!

Mechanics all say to run it in hard.
Racetracks are really good. Lots of throttle variation, lots of shifting.

curvy roads. I am coming up on my manual recommended 1000 k oil change.

I just rode 100k in wet graveland mud.

the last 7 k it was......well here

It's a Honda. it'll take it.

I'm falling in love more and more every day with mine.
I think i'm even changing my mind on the bike's highway manners. I think I was the problem. After such a long layoff from biking I just wasn't used to driving at highway speeds.. As my comfort keeps growing I find the bike to be easier and easier to drive in highway speeds and traffic. again , it isn't a FireBlade....but it can run at 110-130kph all day just fine.
