Where did you mount the sensor. Last bike I found it really difficult to find a place that was not an 'oven', near rad or engine. Ended up putting it on underside of handlebar with a bit of padding to prevent heat conduction

It is mounted on the fairing subframe almost in the beak of the bike - seems to be reasonably accurate there and isn't picking up header/radiator heat when standing.

My task now is to make sure they zero time the replacement pump for warranty purposes.

Unfortunately that's not how Honda or any other manufacturer seems to work.

They fix something to get you out of the bike warranty period and that's it.
Some will allow 6 months warranty of dealer fitted parts if that is outside the std warranty period.

Could change the springs to find out. Will need to cut the spacers to reduce preload so that is not going to happen in a hurry as I would need a spare set of spacers to do that.

I use plastic plumbing pipe to make temporary spacers when setting up forks.
Does the job nicely and only £5 a length at a DIY store.

When you are happy the new spacers are correct - then you cut the OEM ones.

Personally I believe it is better to have the bike upright so the engine / frame are not trying to twist as you remove bolts.

The only thing I donít like is fixing flats and pulling the wheel. Those chain adjusters drive me nuts. Anyone know if the 2019 swingarm works on the older bikes? Much better setup

The frames are not identical - especially around the centre stand area ( RR offer different bash guards for the 2019 )

Even if the swing arm area is compatible - Not sure if it would be a straight swap because the linkage also changed on the 2019 model.
You might need to buy a new RR linkage to work with the 2019 swing arm.

From what I understand the ABS "box" or whatever its called and break hoses are there. Im assuming that it could be re mounted and re routed if one wanted to put that much work in it. I dont have ABS either, nor did I want it :164:

The ABS box is back near the shock.

The brake hoses on an ABS bike pass under the lower triple.

Does anyone know the correct torque to apply to the sprocket nut?

Front sprocket bolt 54Nm  ( 40ft/lb )

Why would they use 120/90-17?  I believe Shinko 705 is made in the stock 120/70-17 size...

To get somewhere near a 19" rolling diameter without going to a 19" wheel setup.

Either cut and weld right at the base or
Buy a 2018 sidestand with the corresponding pivot bolt...the correct pivot bolt is important
That is my setup.

What issue did you have with the bolt ?

Looking at the parts lists - every model of 500x seems to use the same bolt 90108-KPP-860
