FYI Rally Raid front wheel owners.  The front fender for your 19” spoked front wheel is off a BMWF650 GS.   The fender on the 2015 bike I bought was patched with bondo and I was looking for a cleaner appearance.  The folks at Rally Raid were kind enough to just give me the BMW part number so I wouldn’t get hit with exchange rate plus shipping from the UK to Arizona.  Installed it today.  Identical, see pics.  Spendy at ~$100 but what the hell...decided to dress up the bike a bit even though I plan on bashing about off-road.  Also installed new Bark Buster plastic shields and a new Leo Vince carbon exhaust can in last couple of weeks.

Attached a few photos.   The rack comes pre drilled/tapped to accept a GIVI plate.

Hey Crawdaddy, after exhaustive searching I've decided on the T-Rex rear rack to, because I likewise want to keep the stock grab rails.  The T-Rex also seems to be the most robust and least bulky.  I'd love to see your pictures post install.  The one thing I'm curious about is if the screws on the top stick out or are flush with the plate, different pictures show it different ways.  Thanks!

T-Rex out of Texas makes this one

made with steel brackets and an aluminum plate. Might help with reducing weight. Just saw it on their website.

I ordered the T-Rex set up yesterday and should have it in a week.  I was going to order the Rally Raid rear rack but that’s a pretty expensive option once you Factor in the exchange rate/shipping to U.S.  Wanted to have a rear rack to cinch down my Giant Loop Coyote bag rear clip.  Assuming passenger pegs will suffice for front tie down points.

New Member Introductions / Hello - 2015 CB500X w/Rally Raid
« on: November 01, 2020, 03:02:31 PM »
Hello - I just purchased a used 2015 CB500X w/full Rally Raid mods and several other Rally Raid products.   I’m coming off a 2008 KTM 950 Super Enduro so it’s a bit of a change 😳🤣.   Love the power/thrill of the 950SE but those big carbs just suck up the fuel and I don’t need all that power.   I was looking for a budget friendly twin that I could travel on and use for light duty off-road.   As a die Hard KTM guy, the 790 was my first inclination, but then I educated myself on other more affordable options for my retired guy budget/mission statement.  Juan Browne’s UTube videos were very helpful/convincing regarding the potential of the CB500X. Glad to have found this resource via internet search.  Looking forward to loading up and heading out without reliability/fuel range concerns on a “new to me” smooth, capable, economical ride!

Hello, are you still looking to possibly get rid of the  Rally Raid 19” front fender?  Mine is cracked/repaired but looks a bit shoddy.  I’m in AZ.
