On Two Wheels / top case vs side cases

Just an observation that may help someone trying to decide between the two.
I have had a 35L top case on my bike for a year and have even done some long trips with it on there. Even with it fully loaded I couldn't tell it was behind me. It didn't seem to change the handling of the bike much if at all.
I have recently put on some 21L hard side cases on the bike and with them loaded I can definitely tell the bike feels heavier in turns (not necessarily a bad thing) and there is definitely a significant increase in wind drag (resistance).
I plan on keeping the setup as I ride mostly highways and like to have my gear with me but I thought this might be helpful to someone.
Cheers!
