Modifications, Accessories, and Appearance / Drying your X
« on: September 10, 2020, 07:46:28 PM »
I'm one of those strange ones that likes to keep his bike clean but I've found the X to be a pain in the bum to clean because of all the scaffolding and panels etc. Water doesn't drain away after it's been washed and that leave water marks  :006:  :009: :012:

Thinking about getting myself a bike drier to blast it all out but wondering if anyone has tried one?  :084:

Cheap one on ebay

EBay item number:
273769701750

44.30

I know it says pets and is pink but it's cheaper than the one that's black and says bikes.  :153:

CB500X - General Chat / New colours for 2021
« on: August 24, 2020, 05:41:01 PM »

The white one looks great with the red frame and red flash.

I did see a picture of the red one earlier but can't find it now. It's the same as now but with the red subframe

Looks good I think I might paint mine. I wonder how hard it is to remove it?  :084:

Modifications, Accessories, and Appearance / Graphics kit for 19/20
« on: June 27, 2020, 08:42:55 PM »
I know Rally Raid do a Graphics kit for the older models but I was wondering if there's a kit out there for 19/20 models?
RR don't do one

Would also like to get a Hafrica Twin sticker but can't find one anywhere  :084:

On Two Wheels / I need to ride
« on: April 19, 2020, 11:01:46 PM »
This amazing weather we're having is driving me nuts. I need to ride my bike and ride it really fast. I need one of those days when you ride it to the limit, much faster than you know you should but you can't help yourself    :001:

I need to live again

Tyres and Wheels / Is this normal?
« on: April 09, 2020, 04:46:17 PM »
Looks a bit worrying to me. I'm not throwing the bike into corners or trying to get the pegs to scrape, just riding normally. Just enjoying it.

Left is ok

I try to get this far on my 1300 but can't, even in the Pico's I had more.

Is anyone else riding to the edge?  :187:
Will the foot peg scrape as a warning before I fall off? That would put my mind at rest if it did

I'm looking for some cheap hand-guards that will fit my 19/20 bike
I intend to get Barkbusters but they are expensive and I have a list of things to buy so I'd rather put something cheaper on for now. I had a look at some Polisport guards that I had fitted to my CRF250L but with the brake reservoir where it is I don't think they will fit

Any suggestions?  :027:

Thanks

CB500X - General Chat / Wind noise. What to expect
« on: February 22, 2020, 06:00:45 PM »
I was out on my bike today experimenting with the screen. In the lower position it was noisy but no buffering. If I stood up at 60mph it was quieter than sat down. I did about 60 miles. It was also a really windy day so not the best to test. I stopped and put the screen to the higher setting and did another 10 or so miles. It seems better there but still noisy and the wind goes straight into my eyes if I have the visor open.
I'm used to riding naked bikes so I'm not sure what I should be getting from the screen. Should it be really quiet?  :187:

Do those little windscreen deflectors make a big difference?

This one is only 10.99 on ebay

eBay item number:
223772068583

Thanks for any advice  :002:
