I found that when I put the rear setting on 5 it took away much of the front end dive. It also feels sportier and less wallowy(?). So it felt best there. I weigh about 220 lbs.
Just bumped mine up to 5 today didn't ride it yet and I weigh  about the same as you good to know it should be better

A center stand would solve your problem, the Honda factory 500 X stand can not be used but check out Twisted  SW MotoTech makes one that will work with your 500F

As it says on the bottom of my posts 48 bikes in 50 years and I know there is at least 1 guy on this forum that can top that if you don't count cars if you do add 40 more to mine..

No need to use the over priced Honda stuff my new set of Givi side rails for the 500X I got from Revzilla they also have trunks seems a 30 to 36L is a good size for the 500

I do the same except every 200 miles, but with all the cool gizmo's in our speedometers it a shame they don't work better..

A member PMed me with a question about the Givi screen on a friends bike  I tried to return the message but it got bounced back so I'll answer it here  The Madstad mounts did not fit the Givi shield so he ordered the complete system with the 20" shield (if you call them they will advise which shield for your height) he loves it-quote it is the best windshield I have ever owned on any bike---so I ended up with the Givi on my bike after a few helmet earplug combos I like it with it mounted on the top mount the air goes over my helmet I'm 5'11"  big different between the up and down mounts   maybe not as good as the $250 Madstad but good enough  you may want to cut a piece of card board 19 1/2" long  (Givi height) and put it up to the stock shield and see if you can look over it  middle of the nose seems to always be best    hope this helps

I have had good luck with the Motion Pro tool
