I definitely want some bags on the bike but the stock ones are priced insanely. The entire set of coloured side cases and top case with mounting accessories would cost me over $2500 Canadian or USD after taxes. :005: $700 plus tax just for the stays to attach the side cases. :112: I think I will be going aftermarket. Just have to wait for some to be available.
Hepco and Becker do a rack and pannier rails much cheaper - and I think better quality.  Google Hepco and Bewcker alu rack.  (I don't work for them!).  And I'd suggest pelicases, I think there is someone in the USA who does the fittings for racks and pannier rails.

Redbird looks great, Tizzy - nice to see a decent pic of one without the X.

Check out this pannier option, soft panniers, but with a quickly removable support system, and for a fraction of the cost of hard luggage.
This says it fits the "F", but due to the way it fits to the pillion pegs, I reckon it would also fir the X.
Cheers :)

Here's a good vid showing how easy it is to take off the luggage AND the supports:

Thanks Captain. I do really like the looks and system of those Blaze bags. They have actually been on my to-do list for a while now. I am just waiting for a certain Canadian parts and accessories supplier to have them available.
