I wouldn't hesitate to ride on those. Not even sure I would notice cracks/cuts like that if I inspected my tires.

Try spraying some soapy water on the crack to see if you notice any bubbles.

Thanks! They are petty small, and probably was just luck that I saw the one the rear. Then I used a bright light on the front.

OK, no bubbles came up.

No bubbles, no air leak. You should be good to go!

Lots of cracks on mine, started to appear, and two days ago i noticed a nail has joined us.

So i replaced them with Bridgestone Battle Wing BW501. A friend has them on the NC750X, After 16.000 they still look and feel great.

So i turn the key to write down at how many kms, i changed them :

I always enjoy writing down round numbers  :008:

I, of course, have these as the stock tires on my 2016.  Have almost 1600 miles on them now and have been happy with them..... until a couple days ago.  It was the first time I have ridden with them on wet streets.  It was immediately after a heavy downpour and there was water standing on the road.  At a major intersection I made a right slightly uphill turn at about 5 mph on asphalt.  The front tire slipped sideways a couple inches and gave me a scare.  Had I been going much faster I would have likely dumped the bike.  As it was I just had to get my blood pressure back under control.  Since I do 95% paved road I will like be switching to PR4's soon.

I just replaced my 609's with 6200 miles on them. Front was gone while rear still had some miles left on it...    :305:

Do you use the front brake a lot?

No, that didn't do it. /it's that the roads are crowned and wears more on the left side of the tire. I was down to the wear bars on the left side.
I do more touring type of riding, A lot of highway...

After gladly getting rid of the 609's a pair of PR4's improved the wet weather handling of the 500X no end.  A long distance rally in the Alps that I entered earlier this month was going to be too risky for a pair of half worn tyres so after a great deal of research I replaced the PR4's with........ Metzeler Roadtec 01's.  The route that I took involved hundreds of hairpin bends over alpine passes, often in the wet.  These tyres never budged an inch, never have I had so much confidence in a tyre.  Roadtec 01's are 20 a pair more than PR4's, but my recommendation for a street tyre is now these.  As for wear, with over 4000 miles on these at the moment they look good for at least another 4000.
