Does anyone have any tips for getting grease smears off the windscreen. I've tried several methods, but the grease just doesnt seem to want to come off.

I'd suggest that you try WD-40 or kerosene.

I'd try something like this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Meguiars-PlastX-Plastic-Polish-296/dp/B0000AY3SR

I've used Autoglym polish before, just need to make sure you don't scratch it, or use something that'll attack the plastic screen. Scratches can be made to become invisible, if your patient. I've done a repair to a glider transparency that was invisible afterwards.

Hot water and washing up liquid. just be patient and use a very soft sponge. It worked for me.

I use my visor cleaner spray or a window cleaning spray, as others have said, the screen scratches so don't 'go at it' with anything abrasive, even the edge of your nail to remove a bug splat can leave a mark......
