found this today it shows a faster pace of riding on the cb500x it does well considering the other bikes are dirt bikes.
he's riding it harder than I would, my mechanical sympathy kicks in on the cb500x, unlike my old xl125s which I beat all the time.

don't know how much its been modded.

I just want to say that I really appreciate everyone's helpful replies and observations as I consider this bike.  Thanks to all.

I went out with a local UK trail riding group, on my Rally Raid CB last year. At first they were a little... sceptical about the CB and how it would cope. BUT, by days end they had come around and appreciated how could keep up with them.

Apologies for the quality, YouTube doesn't like MOV format videos. Change the settings to 1080p when watching.

And then there's my run across the Great Basin, Utah, while riding the Trans America Trail.

IMO, the CB is a good offroader. It's not a CRF250, it's not a KTM. BUT, it's still a surprisingly capable, and multi purpose, compromise.

Great stuff.
Just to clarify. If I remember right your bike is L1. Am I correct?

That is correct. Level one suspension and wheels.
