I luuurve Salisbury Plain, my off roading buddies and I generally spend at least one weekend a year down there playing.

Was the tank practise area open when you were there?

No it wasn't open.  We went around the edge of it.  However my hubby went down there again last weekend with his mate and there was quite a stretch of track which didnt have any signs so he thought oh well it must be open, and they had a little play.  he said it was a bit dryer than the weekend we went down.

Out of the 6 times or so that we've been down there, last September was only the 2nd time we had seen this area open.

It was seriously good fun, the weather was lovely and warm but enough standing water around to be big kids! Still had a to be careful though, tanks make huge ruts!
