Now that's some pretty country. Can you use voice commands to take pictures? What luggage are you carrying? Throw over soft bags, top box, and a duffel?

The Sena 10C has a button to take pictures easily.

I forgot to mention that the SDCard on my Sena was shot and I lost all footage from days one and two :(. I got a new SDCard on Walmart today and was able to take videos and photos.

I also have a GoPro and recorded the awesome ride on US16. Will post the video once I have a decent connection.

For luggage I have a Givi v47 top case, a set of dryspec D20 and the yellow bags are just two cheap waterproof bags I got from Amazon. They are cheap but it looks they will hold up for the trip.

I brought a bunch of tools, air compressor and some oil /coolant and other things, so that took up an entire dryspec. The oil and coolant is because I was worried that the bike would consume some during the three days around 80mph at almost 7000rpm, I am happy to report that it hasn't consumed a single ml after 1800 miles of bashing the engine in the interstate.

On the second dryspec I have gear (cold weather, rain gear, gloves, etc). On the top case I have all my riding clothes which is basically a t-shirt, underwear and pair of socks for 10 days. I also have the laptop and cables, GoPro mounts, a pair of shoes, toothbrush and all that crap.

Regarding the Amazon bags, one is for micellaneous like a sweater, couple shorts, and some other clothes to walk around the area I arrive each day (so I don't look like a power ranger). The other bag is for clothes I will use the week I am in SF since I will be working from my company's office there for a week before I head back to NY.

I am leaving on a three week, 8000 miles adventure across the USA on my CB500X.

Respect Sir and to the X.

Hell of a trip, a good 4000 miles too far in that time for this old fart.
Brian.

Day 4, 550 miles

I rode from Keystone, SD to Great Falls, MT. Half interstate, half roads. The views where breathtaking. For several miles I was alone on the roads in Montana, it was me and the X only, the feeling was wonderful.

Weather has been perfect, not to hot, not to cold, no rain. Bike has been great too.

I've met so many cool people. At a a gas station I met this guy riding a beautiful brand new Harley, no helmet, just wearing shorts and shirt. He's been riding like that all his life. He saw my license plate and came over and we started to chat, according to him I am a "hard son of a b***"  :745:. You had to see his face when I told him the bike was 500cc and 430 lbs, he couldn't believe it!

I also had a close call with gas. I was half tank and went past a gas station and didn't stop. Next thing I know my reserve light comes on and I was lucky to find a small town with a gas station with less than 1/2 gallon left on the tank.

Cheers guys!

Man, you weren't kidding, that is breathtaking. That Sena takes some great pictures for being at speed and helmet mounted.

So it should, I looked up the price and went into shock. Very clever allowing the camera to move otherwise it would be a nightmare to mount it.

I need a com for my Nexx XD1 helmet. The made-for com is 300 dollars, has now been discontinued, and doesn't take pictures. This Sena 10c looks quite good for a similar price point.

I've never seen a bad word about Sena so go for it. And we'd stop here, this thread is about more important things.
