MotoWerk mirror extenders
« on: July 28, 2017, 02:07:38 AM »
Holy Lord I can see. I can't speak to any long term durability as I've only been on a short little 15 minute jaunt to see how these things improved my view, but already I am impressed. Maybe it's being able to see without having to duck my head, but increasing rear view visibility I already feel more confident on the bike. Hell I'm so pleased I came right home to post about it. I'm sure this topic has already been covered so I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse but mirror extenders rock.

I got tired of looking at my upper arms and being surprised by vehicles behind me.  So installed similar extenders.  What a difference it makes, no more surprises!

I thought you were talking about things that actually increased the surface area of your mirror. Now that I see what you are actually talking about, I am interested. Thanks!

Had mine a few years now. No issues, great little mod. Did you get a fender extender and a radiator guard yet ?

Make sure you use a Metric 6mm Allen key when tightening the bolts for the mirror extenders. The bolts are made of a soft metal and may strip if the right size of key is not used.

The are a great product. I got tired of looking at the elbows of my leather jacket and bought a set.

I believe that they include a 6mm Allen, at least their site says they do.

I did not receive an Allen key I bought my mirror extenders back in 2014. Perhaps they realized it would be a good idea to include it so customers would not ruin the inside of the bolt heads.

I now have a set of Allen keys and two 6 inch adjustable wrenches under the seat so I can fix the mirrors or extenders should they get bumped and come loose.
