Here comes summer?

Well, not according to the weather forecast I just watched, but I couldn't wait any longer and taxed the bike today.

Great to get out again, although in The Campsie Fells near my house....... Spring hasn't quite sprung yet!!  :151:

Main roads, pavements and gardens are all fine, clear and mostly dry, I just went into the hills to get a dramatic photo!

Only 7 degrees this afternoon though.  :191:

"If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?" said the Poet...

I'm sure we all share the same wish for riding in the sun, it should be a matter of days, now...

The BBC weather forecast suggested that it will get cold again at the end of this week (even saying 'the beast from the east is set to return'). Whatever! It's my birthday today  :046: so I was determined to ride to work. Been out and about at weekends right through the winter but this is the first day I've used the Honda for the commute to and from work since the end of October. The ride in across the New Forest was great. I suspect my journey home this afternoon might be a bit longer and not via the direct route.

Happy Birthday Chainlink and what a great way to celebrate with a long ride out.

So far been on mine for my work commute all week and hopefully the weather will be kind enough for me to continue.

Thank you guys. It was great to be doing the commute on two wheels again and a nice way to celebrate (51! How did that happen?). Rode in again today. Despite regular rides throughout the winter I still felt a bit rusty to be honest, I guess there's nothing like proper daily riding to keep you sharp.

Hope warmer (and drier) weather reaches all of us in the UK very soon.
