Ahem! Me again, perhaps an explanation is called for...the day after I made my first post, full of excitement at the prospect of looking for a new bike, my other half broke her foot which resulted in a short stay in hospital, some metal work inserted, several weeks without being able to put any weight on her foot, and several months of rehabilitation. It all got a bit hectic in the household and scuppered any plans I had for messing about test riding and buying new motorbikes...and then it was winter, when I don't ride these days, and when spring rolled around I went back to enjoying my existing Suzuki Inazuma.

A couple of weeks ago I stopped off for a cuppa at a local Honda dealer and had a 'nose' round the showroom and they had a new/old stock 2018 MY in silver that caught my eye, so we had a chat and a deal was proposed for trading my Inazuma and, following a test ride the following week on one of their bike school 500X's, hands were shaken and I'm picking up the new bike Thursday the 12th!  :046:

Brace yourselves for lots of dumb questions coming from me over the next few weeks as I settle in to 500X ownership and thanks for bearing with me!

Well done - and it sounds like your dealer with their 'bike school' 500X's is a great place to do business and be supported on this next stage of your journey  :152:

Hi I'm also from Ashford and think I know the exact bike your refering to. You have chosen to buy from an excellent dealer who gives brilliant after sales service.I ride a white 2019 CB500X and my wife a CB650R we can also be seen out and about on our 125s a yellow Monkey and a yellow CB125F so if you see us out and about give us a wave. Maybe we will meet you at Kent M/Cs sometime.

Hi Rocker66, they only had the one in stock so it must be the same bike...I've been very impressed with the dealer so far, they've been super helpful. I'll keep a look out for you and your good lady around Kent and particularly Ashford...I haven't seen a 2019 500X locally yet! Did all your Honda's come from Kent Motorcycles?
