Has anyone tried out these foot pegs?
Thinking about ordering a set.

I have not, but after having the Fastway pegs on my DL650, which are 3.25" (82mm) wide, I decided that I really like wide pegs. The ones you've linked are 45mm wide, or less than 2". Fastway doesn't make a CB500X specific peg, but I reached out to them earlier this year and they wanted me to send measurements so that they could maybe make a set or find something from another compatible bike. I ended up buying a bike with RR pegs installed, so I never got back to them.

While I like the adjustability of the ones you've shown, my size 11 boots prefer a nice wide platform. my .02

31,
Wow that's a wide peg at 3 1/4.
I'm a toe/ball rider on the pegs, coming from my Trials experience. So the width is not so much of a factor for me. And my Speedway bike only had one peg!
I might give these a shot at that price.

Yep, it's quite a platform! If you end up getting these let us know what you think of them.  :821:

I put a pair like those on mine, except the ones that I got don't have replaceable side plates. I've only done 1k of road riding with them and like them so far. I think they might fail under the stress of standing on them in rough terrain though. The footpeg only has one steel screw (8mm if I remember right) that goes into the aluminum indexing part. If the one screw stretches or the threads in the AL stretch even the tiniest amount the stresses will compound rapidly. I used permanent loctite.

In another thread here on CB500X a couple of riders had the cast AL side plates break too though, so even a tougher footpeg isn't a complete solution.

Those can be found on ebay for a lot less money. I worry about them breaking under my weight. I'm a big man.

Having spent more time on the X, I am ready for a lowering kit for the pegs. I do have the RR foot pegs and they're great. Nice and wide.

I know Rally Raid has a kit coming out, but I'm going to get something sooner.

A broken foot peg at speed could be catastrophic, be very careful with your selection.

Indeed.   Rally Raid foot pegs are more expensive, but they are of solid construction and well proven.
Having fun with a CB500XA with Rally Raid Level 3 upgrade.

I was with RR John just a few days ago and he said the lower pegs (also slightly further forward so better for standing) should be available early in the new year, now all the stuff for the GS310 is sorted.

I saw John's GS310 too - what a fab little bike.  Probably better than the CB on more technical trails but definitely not as good for travelling between the trails on the tarmac.  You pay your money and you take your choice...
