I have a 2016 model CB500x in the Tan colorway.  I'd like to paint the silver "brow" piece above the front headlight flat black if I can get  it off safely?  Has anyone tried just removing this piece?

Looks like 2 fasteners (part #3), all good to remove.  Post pics when you're done, I'm interested in seeing how it looks.

Funny isn't it - if this part was black as standard, we'd be buying chrome or polished alloy replacements to jazz up the front!!  :745:

Absolutely true  :462:

Although, personally, I don't care for shiny plastic chrome, or chrome at all.

Interested to see what it looks like without the piece as well.

I have seen one or two youtube videos where that piece has been sprayed to match the bike colour.

I'm tempted to wrap mine it's one of the last jobs on the to do list.

Saw this on Instagram. It looks quite good colour coded;

A good idea would be using vinyl to give it a carbon look... If anyone knowns how to take off this piece, probably I'll try it.

My plans were to do gloss or flat black.  The silver color from the factory clashes with the tan color of my bike IMO.  I haven't had time to mess with it yet.  Thanks for the photoshop.
