I'm not convinced they've improved it. The display is universally slated. Slightly bigger from wheel is neither road nor track and might limit tyre choice. Just about everything else is the same. Has someone reported extra vibes ?

Brian.

Funny what you're experience is of 1st gear. I find the opposite and that I need to consciously give it a few more revs at take off to prevent stalling as compared to all my previous bikes (Not Hondas). Maybe that's a result of the fueling though rather than being geared too high.

Tough choice indeed. Will it remain a street bike or do you plan on making it an ADV bike?

Take each for a long test ride, and decide with the seat of your pants. Resale value is not worth considering, cause once you ride it a mile, it is used and selling a used motorcycle is really difficult. Get what you like best. Otherwise, you'll never forget it.

Street only no dirt and that seems to be the problem-seems the 2019 is made a little more for the trails and less for the street-not that it's more one than the other just seems that way to me-still after reading all the good bad and the ugly you can't take away the looks of the thing-it is one good looking bike that alone may seal the deal-and I did think about resale-which will happen always does- I'm sure the added cost will be made up in resale over the old style-I left the dealer 50-50% now 5hrs later I'm 80-20% in favor of the 2019-I keep saying why not you already had the old style go for the new style-oh and did I say what a good looking bike it is
It's not a big motorcycle just a groovy little motorbike

What is this thing you call a test ride-we do not have the luxury of that never did on any Japanese bike in my area only Harley and BMW and I have had enough of them

I've always been able to take a test ride here in Virginia. Never a problem.

I've read all about vibration on these forums.  Please tell me :431: what you are use to that you think this bike has a vibration problem.  Maybe you are still used riding a bicycle.  Absolutely no vibration issues or problems what so ever.  It is a motorcycle.  For those that have a problem with this, I see an electric bike in your future.  Have fun.   Racer

I actually had a somewhat similar situation here. A not-so-local volume dealer had three new 2017's (non-abs) for $4,995 out the door + tax and license. Or he could order me a new 2019, delivery date unknown, for $6,395/6,695.

I ultimately bought a used 2013 for my RR build project, but I seriously considered the 2017. Since you are looking a street use only, I think I'd try to get it for even less and save some money.
Just damn happy to be here...
