I actually had a somewhat similar situation here. A not-so-local volume dealer had three new 2017's (non-abs) for $4,995 out the door + tax and license. Or he could order me a new 2019, delivery date unknown, for $6,395/6,695.

I ultimately bought a used 2013 for my RR build project, but I seriously considered the 2017. Since you are looking a street use only, I think I'd try to get it for even less and save some money.

With out going into detail the deal is close to what you just said-pushing for the 2019--but the 2017 is a worthy contender -in the end may have to flip a coin or do a eeney meeney miney moe-I'm going in the morning for the 2019-I got a feeling when I get there  he'll knock off even more on the 2017 :138:

I would probably go for the 19 as well. The lighter clutch pull, restyle, new dash and even the better swing arm with the adjusters outside are  enough to sway my vote. Plus the revised engine. Yeah, I would go for it.

Your right- I'm tired of messing around 2019 first thing in the morning :001:

39-tooth rear sprocket for 2019 model?
« Reply #693 on: June 03, 2019, 02:00:25 AM »
For anyone planning to change the rear sprocket, I can confirm that the JTR1303.39 does not fit on the new model.  :003:  I had ordered one after reading some older threads and checking fitment (pattern) on several vendor sites.

Here are some measurements taken from the OEM part
     bolt circle:  105 mm
     bolt holes:  12.5 mm
     center hole:  84 mm

I can't seem to find a 39t anywhere with that pattern but hoping someone can.   :148:

I'm back baby-- picked up my 2019 X this morning and did a quick shake down run- the short is holly crap what a difference from the old one so smooth and no vibration- let me repeat that NO VIBRATION-- very glad I went with the new style instead of trying to save a few bucks($1200) -hard to believe they still call it the same CB500X even the windshield seems no work no buffeting on the high setting  at 60mph I'm 5' 11"and the speedometer has so much info it will take me a while to figure it all out like duel tacks and a water temp gauge- which is nice- takes me about 4-5 hours to do all the little things to a new bike- all done on this one so tomorrow will be a long ride so we can bond

A quick note that the SW-Motech Engine Guard (skid plate) (MSS.01.381.10001/B) does not fit the new bike.  The company says they will have a new version but no availability date yet.
