Importance of using a torque wrench
« on: November 11, 2018, 08:13:00 PM »
The Workshop just posted a video (link below) that demonstrates very well why it is important to use a torque wrench. In a nutshell, even a slight over-tighten can massively increase the clamping load on a bolt.

I really hate the attitude of some shop mechanics, that they can tighten bolts by hand because they 'have a feel for it'. Personally, if I'm paying that money for a bike mechanic, I'm paying them to do the job right.
