That's good to know, thank you! I shall put it on my to do list (after sorting out the dog bone....)

Hello there, i know i'm bringing an old post back to life with not so many hopes, but i'm seriously interested on this modification. Sadly i couldn't find any other info about this on internet.
What happened to this? did you actually do it? My 2015 500X has been having some shifting difficulties at her 35.000 miles, and i want to fix and improve at the same time, using only one engine aperture for everything

Greetings from Chile

I have not done it yet. I am waiting for the clutch to need service before I do the upgrade. A few members here have done the upgrade. This topic started over on ADVrider in the cb500x thread and I brought it over here.

I bought a stainless one from here...

I went for something with a larger thread diameter so I could drill and tap the original hole and get a lock nut on the back. Not fitted it yet so do you're own measuring! It was about a tenner if I remember, so it's not the best heim joint I've come across, but I figure it's a replaceable part
